Analyze the Deviation between Point Cloud data and 3D Models

Something Faraz showed me recently…

Here are the basic commands to Analyze the deviation between point cloud data and 3D models using Rhino & Pointools4Rhino.

1. Using Pointools4Rhino’s regions select the area of points that you wish to compare with a surface.
2. Enter ptExtractSel into the command line and press enter.
3. Go to Analyze > Surface > Point Set Deviation or enter PointDeviation into the command line.
4. Select the extracted points and press enter.
5. Select the surfaces to compare and press enter.
